macOS Sonoma on different gadgets

Cooled off from the main news from Apple, let's see what else awaits us in the fall. We've taken a deep dive into the preview of macOS Sonoma and chosen some of its most compelling features. Looking at this preview, we would like to note that macOS is becoming more and more like iOS from Apple.

MacOS Sonoma will come with several new features and improvements. One of the most important additions is the desktop widgets, which run in the background and provide convenient access to useful information and functionality. With Continuity, you can conveniently bring your iPhone widgets to your Mac desktop. No need to install the corresponding apps on your Mac. They can be accessed by any Mac device that is on the same Wi-Fi network as an iPhone. Additionally, macOS Sonoma will introduce moving screensavers that can double up as wallpapers.

Another significant feature of macOS Sonoma is the new Game mode, which ensures priority access to system resources when launching games. This provides an enhanced gaming experience by reducing audio latency on AirPods and doubling the Bluetooth sample rate when using Xbox and PlayStation controllers with a Mac. Furthermore, renowned game developer Hideo Kojima has announced the release of Death Stranding Director's Cut on macOS.

Web apps now have the capability to run like regular macOS apps, and they also benefit from the support for messages and the ability to pin them to the Dock for easy access. Safari gains private browsing windows that can now be locked when not in use. You can create profiles in Safari to keep your browsing separate for different topics like Work and Personal. Profiles help you maintain separate history, extensions, Tab Groups, cookies, and favorites. It's easy to switch between profiles while you browse. Furthermore, Apple is working on simplifying the sharing of access keys and passwords through the iCloud Keychain, enhancing security and convenience.
