Metal Slug Tactics is set to launch worldwide on November 5, offering a fresh, grid-based tactical twist on the classic series beloved by fans. This game serves as an imaginative new celebration of the METAL SLUG franchise, capturing its timeless aesthetic through stunning pixel art and fluid animation. Designed for strategy enthusiasts and long-time admirers of METAL SLUG, it invites players to engage in dynamic, strategic combat on highly replayable battlefields.

Originating in the 1990s, the METAL SLUG series quickly became a staple in the run-and-gun genre, renowned for its fast-paced action and charming visuals. With Metal Slug Tactics, the series introduces a new dimension, channeling its classic elements into a strategic, grid-based RPG format.

In Metal Slug Tactics, players face a renewed threat as Donald Morden emerges from hiding with a formidable army, poised to challenge the World Government. The Peregrine Falcon Squad is tasked with penetrating enemy lines to thwart Morden's plans and prevent a global crisis. Players will utilize classic METAL SLUG weaponry, along with skill trees, perks, and an adrenaline-powered superattack system, to outsmart the series' infamous villains.

The game introduces three additional playable characters, each with unique abilities: Clark Still, known from the Ikari Warriors series and Metal Slug 6, uses his strength and wrestling skills to move enemies and inflict widespread damage. Ralf Jones, another returning character, excels in short-range combat with powerful punches and the ability to charge at foes. Leona Heidern, a newer addition, is a skilled fighter who can replace defeated enemies with decoy allies, allowing her to disrupt and overpower enemy forces with strategic finesse.

Developed by Leikir Studio with support from Dotemu and SNK, the game promises a fresh yet familiar experience for fans. Metal Slug Tactics will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
