Pre-orders are live and offer an early bird discount of up to 30% for a limited time. Early adopters will receive exclusive bonuses like the Moogle Trio Summoning Materia and upgraded Shinra and Midgar Bangles. Available editions include a Standard version, Digital Deluxe Edition, and Twin Packs combining Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth for added value. The discount ends on February 5, 2025.

Square Enix announced at The Game Awards on December 13, 2024, that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be released for PC on January 23, 2025. The game received the award for Best Music and Score at the 10th TGA ceremony. It was also named Game of the Year by USA Today. 

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store. For console players, the game has been available on PS5 since February and is compatible with the PlayStation 5 Pro.

After the console release, the game sold well in Japan for a week but likely fell short of sales goals despite global marketing efforts. In my opinion, to attract PC players, the publisher is offering a pre-purchase discount. This approach may work, as the SteamDB chart shows a 300% rise in followers after The Game Awards.
