Protagonist

A boy from the elda tribe, the protagonist is on a mission to lift a curse from his childhood friend, the prince of Euchronia. Marked as "tainted" due to his tribe's supposed heretical magic, he faces discrimination within the kingdom.

Gallica

Gallica is a fairy who guides the protagonist on his quest to save the prince. Though unable to fight, her superior knowledge of magic and ability to sense magla make her an invaluable and reassuring ally.

Strohl

Coming from the clemar tribe, Strohl is a bright and just young man who meets the protagonist at an army recruitment center. Despite his noble background, his enlistment alongside commoners hints at a complicated personal history.

Hulkenberg

A knight of the roussainte tribe, Hulkenberg formerly served in the royal Kingsguard. Skilled in weaponry, she bears the weight of failing to protect the prince during an attack, prompting her to wander with this burden.

Heismay

Heismay, of the eugief tribe, is a former knight noted for his acute hearing, a trait of his tribe. His distinct appearance often subjects him to discrimination, and he carries the weight of his own past struggles.

We also learned about the complete English voice cast for Metaphor: ReFantazio, which heightened the anticipation for this fantasy RPG. Caleb Yen voiced the Protagonist, joined by Alejandra Reynoso as Gallica, Phillipe Spall as Heismay, and other notable actors like Emma Ballantine, Emily Burnett, and David Monteith. An interview featuring Stewart Clarke and Kristin Atherton, who portrayed Strohl and Hulkenberg respectively, was showcased during the Xbox @ Gamescom 2024 Livestream, providing insights into the voice recording process. Additionally, a game demo was available for attendees at the Xbox booth.

Launching on October 11, 2024, Metaphor: ReFantazio will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Windows, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam. The game offers a special Collector’s Edition featuring the base game, artbook, soundtrack, and exclusive items like Homo Tenta Metallic pins and a Kingdom of Euchronia Cloth Map. Studio Zero, a division under Atlus, was established in 2016, and led by Katsura Hoshino.
