The company indirectly refers to Palworld, without explicitly stating its name. Remarkably, the game achieved a staggering sales figure of 8 million copies within a week.
The Pokemon Company revealed it has not approved the use of its intellectual property or assets in any other gaming product. Responding to this, Palworld developer, Pocketpair, has categorically stated that their game shares more similarities with Ark Survival Evolved and Valheim.
In an attempt to quell the rising tension, Pocketpair CEO Takuro Mizobe has assured the gaming community of the company’s intention to respect all intellectual property rights. He also revealed that there hadn't been any legal action against the company concerning infringement.
