Valve has officially unveiled the updated Steam Deck OLED, featuring an enhanced screen and extended battery life. The OLED version will be available in two variations: one with 512 GB storage and a limited edition with 1 TB. These models will be priced at $549 and $649, respectively.
The console will boast a slightly larger 7.4-inch OLED display, offering HDR and a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. With a refresh rate of 90 Hz and reduced frame size, the screen not only looks better but also delivers improved touch responsiveness and accuracy.
Another notable upgrade comes in the form of a larger 50 Wh battery, which is expected to provide 3 to 12 hours of gameplay depending on the load. This is a 30% improvement compared to the previous model. Additionally, audio quality has been improved in the OLED version.
The Steam Deck OLED will also support Wi-Fi 6E and features a dedicated Bluetooth antenna. Moreover, thanks to a larger fan and an improved heat dissipation system, the console is expected to operate at slightly lower temperatures.
Pre-orders for the Steam Deck OLED are set to begin on November 16
