Titanium iPhone 15 Pro changes color

The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max showcase eye-catching and refined designs. However, are they practical for everyday use? Initial observations suggest that there may be some concerns - the titanium edges seem to change color alterations upon contact.
As illustrated in the image below, distinct fingerprint marks can be observed on the iPhone 15 Pro's lateral sides. These smudges are visibly darker compared to the remaining surface, and luminous rings can be seen surrounding the buttons in areas not intended for pressing.
These visual occurrences can be attributed to the surface's optical properties, with particular regions appearing to have a slightly altered hue when viewed from certain angles. This phenomenon is not unexpected and can occasionally be detected on various metallic surfaces. According to Sparrowsnews, the variations are most prominent in the blue and black models.

5G modem has become faster by up to 24%

The iPhone 15 Pro has demonstrated improvements compared to its prior model, with an increase of up to 24% in speed when tested on US mobile networks, as revealed by a recent SpeedSmart study. The most notable enhancement was discovered when assessing the device's performance on Verizon's network. Here, simultaneous testing highlighted an average download rate of 195.83 Mbps for the iPhone 14 Pro, while the iPhone 15 Pro reached an impressive 243.06 Mbps.
In terms of mobile carriers, T-Mobile exhibited the highest average download speed at 300.92 Mbps, while AT&T came in last with an average of 204.34 Mbps. The explanation behind this substantial acceleration in network speed can most likely be attributed to the introduction of a new modem within the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models.
Although Apple has not explicitly disclosed the specific data device utilized in these smartphones, SpeedSmart asserts that the Pro models are equipped with a Snapdragon X70. Meanwhile, Qualcomm's promotional efforts have focused on highlighting the "unparalleled data speeds, coverage, and low latency" offered by the X70.
In addition to these benefits, Snapdragon X70 comes with a dedicated AI processor designed to optimize connections within 5G networks, further contributing to the iPhone 15 Pro's standout performance.

Apple's updated frame of the iPhone 15 Pro reduces the cost of replacing the rear glass by almost three times

In the past, replacing the rear cover of a high-end smartphone could set you back an astonishing $500-550, but today, the repair cost has significantly dropped to under $200. The tech giant behind these devices recently revealed the repair fees for their latest models, with the iPhone 15 Pro's back panel replacement priced at $169, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max's at $199. This considerable reduction of $350 compared to the previous year's models is truly noteworthy, as last year's back glass replacement fees for the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max were quoted at $499 and $549 respectively.
These prices did raise many eyebrows, considering they exceeded the expense of acquiring a new iPhone SE.
As per The Verge, here's the current breakdown of repair costs for these cutting-edge

The reduction in cost is likely a result of a significant design modification implemented by Apple in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models. In these recent releases, the rear glass panel can be detached and substituted without interfering with the rest of the smartphone's components.

iPhone 15 as a power bank?

The introduction of the USB-C port has brought a new feature to the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max: the ability to charge other electronic devices.
A recent video review of these newly launched Apple products by a prominent tech blogger Marques Brownlee has demonstrated how this capability operates. The USB-C port enables users to charge not only smartphones but also smartwatches, wireless earbuds, and various other gadgets.
When connecting an older iPhone with a Lightning port to the iPhone 15, the latter will automatically provide power to the former. This occurs even if the iPhone 15 has a low battery. When utilizing two iPhone 15 models, the device with the lowest battery level will receive charging.
Conversely, if an Android smartphone featuring USB-C and Power Delivery support is connected to a depleted iPhone 15, the Android device will serve as a power bank. However, without Power Delivery support, it is uncertain which phone will act as the charger and which will be charged.
