Fifine Ampligame H6 in the box close to christmass tree

When I wrote my recent list of the best gifts for geeks, I confirmed for myself not for the first time that you don't always have to overpay to get something of good quality. This Christmas, I proved it again when I received the FIfine Ampligame H6 RGB Gaming headset under the Christmas tree.

Design

I chose black because it's my favorite color, but the H6 line also offers pink and white to choose from. This gaming headset looks quite stylish and is made of plastic, with internal metal structural elements inside the headband and on the ear pads, which guarantee additional reliability and durability.

Look like soft-touch plastic complements the headset, which is nice to the touch. The embouchure and headband are made of synthetic leather, which is pleasant to the touch and fits snugly around the ears. The headband size is adjustable, so Fifine Ampligame H6 will fit any head size although I would not say that they are big.

The weight of the headset is 330g, which is the lightest weight among all RGB USB headsets with metal construction. They held quite firmly, the headset did not slip and additional head movements did not change their position.

RGB lighting, which looks good, in my opinion, especially in the black version of the gaming headset. It is not possible to turn it off, which again is not a problem in my thoughts, and in the dark, it creates an additional ambiance around me. The one thing you see when wearing these headsets in the dark is that the RGB lighting comes through the vents on top of the embouchures, but it isn't a big issue for me.

Another plus for reliability is a flexible wire with strong fabric. A plastic remote control with buttons is located on the cord. It reminded me of one of my first headphones, with noise cancellation that was turned on with just such a remote.

But unlike my previous experience with corded remotes, at Fifine H6 it is completely out of the way, as this is mostly a non-outdoor headset. Two practical functions are integrated into the control panel: sound regulation with buttons so that it does not leave the full-screen game for sound adjustment, and the microphone mute button on the side of the control panel.

In the middle of the front side, there is a 7.1 button for turning on the effect of spatial or surround sound during the game. The detachable microphone on the left earcup is also flexible and holds perfectly without falling out during use. The comfort of its removable feature benefits me, as I rarely use the microphone when gaming. On the outside of the microphone, a red light is built in, which signals that the microphone is on.

This remarkable feature ensures that you never forget whether the microphone is activated. Simply keep an eye on the backlight, and rest assured that you're always aware of its status.

Sound and Microphone

With 50mm dynamic drivers with a depth of 24 bits, sounds are reproduced in a wide range and create realistic sound in various scenarios. Clear bass in the "Game" mode and the included 7.1 effect provide orientation in space during gameplay, that is, you will unmistakably hear where the opponent is. At some points, I even wanted to turn off this effect, because it was quite scary during explosions.

Also, Fifine H6 is comfortable for listening to music, I checked the sound quality of the music with my usual drum and bass set, and in this over-ear headset, the bass feels juicy, without harming the impression of the high frequencies of the track.

In general, the headset supports three modes:

Movie - balance for playing any content.
Game - the amplification of the bass sound, which is felt during the gameplay
Music - focus on high frequencies and clear bass

Modes are switched with the side button on the multimedia control panel.

The microphone is set to medium frequencies, which allows it to collect a more natural sound. It is removable and bendable and you can move it closer or further away for more comfortable use and to get the most detailed sound.

The microphone is set to medium frequencies, which allows it to collect a more natural sound. It is removable and bendable and you can move it closer or further away for more comfortable use and to get the best sound quality. As for in-game chat use, I'm used to playing mostly solo so I don't need a microphone. However during a video call with friends during the greetings, everyone noted that they could hear me, although quieter than usual, but qualitatively and clearly. This is not surprising if you go back to the beginning of the review and read what the Fifine brand earned its name for - it is precisely high-quality microphones. So the next time I decide to play with the squad, I'll hook up the mic. By the way, in the lists of brands of microphone manufacturers, the company settles a stable place as a leader in sales at an acceptable price.
