Bandai Namco Europe is poised to rekindle the nostalgia of legendary battles with the release of DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO on 11th October 2024. This highly anticipated game marks the first entry in the DRAGON BALL Z: BUDOKAI TENKAICHI series in 15 years and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The announcement trailer garnered nearly 2 million views, positioning it among the top ranks.

Designed by Spike Chunsoft, DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO takes players on an epic journey alongside iconic characters from the series. The game brings the series forward to a new era by harnessing the power of Unreal Engine 5 and pushing the envelope for gameplay and features in an arena brawler. It features Episode Battle, allowing gamers to choose from eight characters and relive key battle moments from the DRAGON BALL saga. Additionally, the new Custom Battle mode lets players engage in developer-imagined matches or create their own battle scenarios, further enriching the gaming experience.

The game will be offered in various editions, including The Standard Edition, The Digital Deluxe Edition, The Digital Ultimate Edition, The Collector’s Edition, and the Premium Collector’s Edition, which is exclusive to the Bandai Namco Store. Each edition provides unique game elements and collectibles, enhancing each player’s experience based on their preference.

Moreover, DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO has been showcased with new gameplay features. The first feature is the Episode Battle mode. In this Single Player mode, players can select from eight characters, including Goku and Vegeta, to experience key battles from DRAGON BALL Z up to DRAGON BALL SUPER’s Tournament of Power. Besides battles, players can immerse themselves in cutscenes from a first-person perspective and make decisions that lead to alternative scenarios on certain stages.

The second feature, Custom Battle, enables players to create their own scenarios involving favorite characters from the franchise. The Bonus Battles are developer-created scenarios with unique victory conditions and cutscenes. Additionally, characters, conditions, and cutscenes can be crafted either from scratch or by modifying existing Bonus Battles, allowing players to create their dream showdowns and share them globally.
