It's been a week since Baldur's Gate 3 was released and it's safe to say that the game has become the most anticipated event of 2023 for role-playing game enthusiasts. Larian Studios' creation has earned the highest rating on Metacritic, surpassing even The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which had previously received the highest praise from both critics and users. Currently, Baldur's Gate III has 97 points from 18 critic reviews and a user rating of 9.3.

Baldur's Gate 3 from Larian Studios has achieved a high rating on Metacritic, joining the ranks of popular video games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, 
Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA V, GTA III, and Disco Elysium: The Final Cut, all with a score of 97. In fact, Baldur's Gate 3 has surpassed highly acclaimed video games including Elden Ring, BioShock, Mass Effect 2, Resident Evil 4, and Half-Life 2 in its ranking. This game has also reached a peak of over 800,000 players on Steam.

According to TechRadar, it is one of the best RPG video games ever made. It's the most ambitious RPG ever made, and the fidelity of the Dungeons & Dragons recreation will thrill fans. Rock Paper Shotgun also writes that it's an incredible world to get lost in, and although it will take you 100 hours to complete, you'll want to play again. It's the best Dungeons & Dragons game anyone has ever made, and probably ever will make.
