Apple began its presentation "Its Glowtime" with the anniversary edition of the Apple Watch Series 10, rather than the expected Series X. This new model includes several upgrades over the previous version. One notable improvement is its OLED display, which is larger than the Apple Watch Ultra's screen and 40% brighter than the Series 9, offering wide viewing angles.
Apple Watch Series 10
The new Apple Watch Series 10 is just 9.7 mm thick, making it 10% thinner than the Series 9. It boasts the largest display of any Apple Watch to date, being 30% bigger than the Series 6. This means users can see an extra line of text, making it easier to check emails and messages quickly. The watch has more rounded corners both display and case, as indicated by previous leaks, and this has been confirmed in the presentation. When it comes to sizes, Apple offers options of 46mm or 42mm cases in aluminum or titanium cases.
It comes with a polished aluminum case and a new metal back that houses various antennas. Apple also offers a version with a titanium case instead of stainless steel. Despite the larger display, the watch is 10% lighter than the previous model and 20% lighter for the titanium version.
The Apple Watch Series 10 is water-resistant up to 50 meters, so you can wear it in the shower, while swimming, or surfing. It features a larger charging coil for faster charging, allowing the battery to reach 80% in just 30 minutes.
This model comes with a new Apple S10 processor that has a 4-core neural engine for AI functions. It’s also the first Apple Watch to include a sleep apnea detection feature, which monitors your breathing throughout the night using the built-in accelerometer. Sleep apnea causes people to stop breathing during sleep, and this watch can alert you if it detects signs of the condition, providing a detailed report to share with your doctor.
The Series 10 will run on watchOS 11, which adds options to pause and customize your goals and activities. There’s also a new Vitals app for tracking nighttime metrics, workout loads, and pregnancy data.
The starting price for the Apple Watch Series 10 is $399 for the GPS-only version, while the cellular aluminum model costs $499. Titanium models start from $699. It’s available for pre-order now, with sales starting on September 20.

Apple Watch Ultra 2
Here we are, as Apple has opted to update the 2nd version of the Apple Watch Ultra instead of releasing a new model. The updated watch now comes with a Black Titanium Case and includes sleep apnea detection features.
You can also pre-order models with a titanium bracelet, like the corrosion-resistant Milanese Loop, perfect for diving enthusiasts. Additionally, watchOS 11 introduces a feature called Smart Stack, which shows widgets when you rotate the Digital Crown to display real-time activity.
