Bandai Namco, known for popular titles like Pac-Man, Tekken, Gundam, Dark Souls, and Ace Combat, has announced an Open Network Test for the SWORD ART ONLINE series. SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream will launch on October 4, 2024, and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch. This highly anticipated game will be the first large-scale multiplayer adventure in the beloved Sword Art Online universe.

SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream takes players into the vibrant virtual reality world of Alfheim Online, where a malfunction in the Galaxia system causes a collision of worlds and timelines. This unique setting challenges players to navigate a realm where past and present intersect, forging unexpected alliances and reviving memorable characters. Players will engage in a large-scale cooperative experience, stepping into the roles of their favorite characters from the first three seasons of the animated series and Sword Art Online movies. The game features cross-play battles, thrilling boss raids, and challenging co-op quests designed to test teamwork and strategy.

Before its official release, the game invites all heroes to participate in an Open Network Test (ONT) from September 21 to September 23. During this test, players across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via STEAM can explore the virtual world and engage in epic 20-player raids against formidable enemies such as The Skull Reaper and Sword Golem. Players can select from nine out of the 21 available characters, each fulfilling crucial roles within their team:

• FIGHTER: Kirito and Asuna, are known for their balanced DPS abilities.
• TANK: Agil, who uses provocation skills to protect allies.
• ROGUE: Argo and LLENN are experts in agility and disruption.
• MAGE: Oberon, who manipulates the battlefield with spells.
• RANGER: Sinon and Fukaziroh, specialists in long-range attacks.
• SUPPORT: Leafa, provides magical buffs and healing.

Players participating in the ONT will have the opportunity to carry over equipment obtained during the test to the full game upon release.

As the launch approaches, players worldwide can prepare for an epic journey in SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream, available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
