Paradox Interactive has regrettably decided to cancel the launch of the highly anticipated life simulator, Life by You. The announcement was made via their official X profile, acknowledging the complexity of the decision and taking responsibility for the outcome. This choice stems from the current limitations faced by Paradox in realizing its creative vision.

Early access for Life By You by Paradox Interactive kicks off on June 4 on Steam and EGS, not in March as we thought earlier.

Life by You is a life simulation game with the creative freedom to tell unlimited storytelling possibilities. Players can design and live out the lives of the humans they create in an open-game world where everything is customizable. Players create their households, build their homes, and tell life’s many stories. With natural language conversation and the ability to switch from third-person to direct control gameplay, players will connect with their characters on an emotional level. The game will come with deep Creator and Editor tools like Character Creator, Object Designer, Language Trees, and more, and all are available to players so they can MOD and adapt the game to fit their story.

In the game, you can:

• Tell your own epic tales: This world's your playground. Create your humans, or play any character you bump into—switching it up whenever you like. Climb the career ladder, be the black sheep, fall in love like it's going out of style, or explore your sexuality. It's all about the stories you wanna tell.
• Go out and explore: Whether you're driving, biking, scooting, or just walking, there's a whole world out there. Collect seashells, pick wildflowers, find gems, or just chat up anyone using real languages in-game.
• Unleash your creativity: With killer Creator and Editor Tools, tweak the game on the fly. Build your own world to play in or share what you make on Paradox Mods.
• Design humans and spaces exactly how you want: Build the dream house from the ground up or give an old place a facelift. Customize your human with a super-detailed character creator with all the personality and traits you can think of.

Life by You, with its cool features and freedom for creativity, has gamers thinking it'll be a major rival to The Sims 4.
