As reported from Cloud Next, it was announced by Google Workspace that several significant updates aimed at improving team efficiency and the utility of everyday tools have been introduced. These updates range from enhancements to existing features to the introduction of brand-new applications.

Firstly, Vids, the latest addition to the Workspace app lineup, has been designed for workplace video creation. This AI-based tool simplifies video creation by generating storyboards that users can easily edit and customize with a chosen style, voiceover, and stock media content. Vids will be accessible in Workspace Labs starting in June.

Secondly, it was announced that Google Meet will soon include a translation feature that will support an additional 52 languages, increasing the overall count to 69. This automatic translation of captions will be part of a new add-on called 'AI Meetings and Messaging' available from June onwards.

Thirdly, an 'AI Security' add-on for Google Drive has been introduced by Google, which allows IT teams to identify, classify, and protect sensitive files in an automated manner. This add-on is now available for select Workspace plans.
In additional updates, it was mentioned that Google Sheets will soon house a new tables feature, and Google Docs will include a new tabs experience and the option of full-bleed cover images.
