Having sold six million copies of the first installment, "Darkest Dungeon II" was released on PC in May and is available on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The sequel requires players to manage not only the physical health of their heroes but also their mental resilience as they confront looming terrors. As players navigate a world on the brink of collapse, they must face both external threats and internal struggles, with every choice carrying significant consequences. This summer marks the arrival of console time—the base game, along with the DLC ‘The Binding Blade’ and the Oblivion bundle, which includes both the base game and DLC—will be launched for cross-buy on PlayStation 4 and 5 starting July 15th, 2024.
In addition to the main game, the DLC “The Binding Blade” will be available to PlayStation users. This content pack introduces two new playable heroes, The Duelist and The Crusader, along with the wandering mini-boss, The Warlord.
"Darkest Dungeon II" invites players to embark on an exhilarating journey through five campaigns, known as “Confessions,” each featuring its own formidable boss and unique mechanics. With the inclusion of The Duelist and The Crusader, the roster expands to 14 playable heroes. Additional features include the expansive metagame progression hub “The Altar of Hope,” 10 companion pets with various run-defining properties, and optional thematic difficulty modifiers in the form of the Radiant and Infernal Flame items, catering to those seeking either a lighter or more intense challenge.
