On November 8, 2011, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 released Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. The game, developed by Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision, is a first-person shooter video game. It is the last game in the Modern Warfare trilogy and the seventh in the main Call of Duty series.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 continues the story that began in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The player takes on the role of Captain John "Soap" MacTavish, Lieutenant James "Rambo" Rhodes, and Captain Steven "Soup" Richardson, or Yuri,  who are fighting against the Russian terrorist organization.
