About Sun Wukong

Screenrant tried to unravel the enigmatic character at the heart of this game: The Destined One, which is based on Sun Wukong, reimagined Monkey King, born from the rich plot of the 16th-century novel Journey to the West, Sun Wukong is a character steeped in intrigue and divine prowess. Stories of its origins, its power, and its tricks have spanned centuries and inspired countless adaptations in various media forms, from manga like Dragon Ball to numerous MOBA games like Smite and League of Legends. But Black Myth: Wukong stands out among these adaptations for two reasons: its Chinese origin, staying true to the same culture that gave birth to the timeless character, and its desire to preserve the essence of Sun Wukong while adding innovative elements to a familiar story.

Black Myth: Wukun brilliantly interweaves the complexity of Sun Wukun's original story with narrative twists. A sense of mystery hides the true nature of The Destined One and the validity of his myth – is he a hero, a rogue, or just a figment of an ancient imagination? The developer skillfully invests this puzzle in exciting gameplay.
