ANTONBLAST, which I had already tried to write about but postponed the post because the release date changed according to the Steam page. Fortunately, the game won the "Most Anticipated Game" category at the GameMaker Awards. I believe this title puts some pressure on the developers to meet the release date this year. This fast-paced, explosive action platformer about destruction from developer Summitsphere and publisher Joystick Ventures was originally set to release on November 12, but the release has been moved to December 3, simultaneously on Nintendo Switch and Steam for PC, with a demo, One Blast, available now!
About ANTONBLAST
ANTONBLAST has achieved tremendous success since its inception thanks to a Kickstarter campaign, raising the necessary funds in less than 72 hours.
The game takes players on a wild ride as Dynamite Anton, a demolition worker whose prized Spirits collection is stolen by the Devil. Set in the vibrant and chaotic Backburner Peninsula, Anton's journey combines platforming prowess and explosive action. The game challenges players to demolish environments with Anton's Mighty Hammer, introducing a unique gameplay twist where players must race back to the start of each level before it explodes.
In addition to Anton, voiced by Tony Grayson, the game features Dynamite Annie, voiced by Jenna Kathleen. She is Anton's wild co-worker who enjoys the chaos and wields her Massive Mace with enthusiasm. Brulo, voiced by JB Long, runs the only casino in Boiler City and reluctantly teams up with Anton to tackle a demonic threat, despite their rocky past. Lastly, Satan, voiced by Gianni Matragrano, is an egotistical character driven by insecurity. He sends his minions to steal Anton's Spirits, mistakenly thinking they hold the key to Anton's power. Each character adds depth and humor, enhancing the game's lively narrative.
Players will navigate through nine sprawling worlds, each offering a dynamic, interactive landscape where strategy and speed are crucial. ANTONBLAST stands out with its destructible surroundings and a 2.5D platforming style.

Destructible environments play a key role as players navigate through levels brimming with action and hidden treasures. Using Anton's unique ability to traverse between different planes via industrial springs, players uncover secrets and tackle challenges in innovative ways. The quest involves detonating points and making a thrilling return journey through transformed stages. Anton's arsenal includes powerful moves like Clutch ‘n’ Bash for speed and enemy takedowns, Buster Slide for maneuvering through narrow paths, Hammer Slammer for heavy impacts, and the Corkscrew Crush to reach new heights. Enhanced by hand-crafted animations, the dynamic soundtrack, a blend of New Jack Swing and Funk, adjusts to the gameplay, and amplifies your immersive experience.
